Amelia Earhart & Jean Batten - SLJ

Another Summer learning journey task gone. Have you wanted to fly a plane? This task is about making a ven diagram on Amelia Earhart and Jean Batten. If there is anything I could work on please comment below. But for now good day

  1. Billy - I loved your Venn Diagram! The colour made it pop too! Good to see you took that advice on board from yesterday. One thing - can you label who is who in the photos - I don't know which female aviator I am looking at!
Why did this activity interest you Billy? Perhaps you would like a career in aviation? What job would you like to do?

  2. Kia ora Billy, this is Kieryn from the Summer Learning Journey.
You have done an awesome job creating this venn diagram which compares the two aviators Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart.
You have the venn diagram absolutely packed full of information, and have given me the opportunity to learn so many new things like the fact that both aviators broke world records.
Did you know that Jean Batten was only 16 years old when she had her first flight! That is such a young age to have started her career which shows us how passionate she must have been about flying.
Amelia Earhart was also quite young when she started aviation, having her first flight at the age of 23 years old.
I have always wanted to learn how to fly a plane. I think it would be amazing to be able to fly yourself anywhere in the world!
Have you ever thought about becoming a pilot?
If you could fly anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I really like how you have included pictures of both Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart at the end of your slideshow, and I appreciate how they are labelled so I know who each picture is of.
It would be great if you could edit your post and link in the sources where you got your information and photos from!
    Nga mihi

    1. Ki ora Billy,
An air traffic controller sounds like a fantastic job! What made you decide that this was what you wanted to do?
An air traffic controller directs the traffic from the ground, and I can only imagine how responsible and focused you would need to be for the job!
Do you know anyone who is an air traffic controller?
Have you ever seen an air traffic controller at work?
      Nga mihi
