This blog post is really late but we had to post it soooooo. Also if want to know why I have not posted for a bit it's because I haven't needed to post anything soooooo. Just treat this as it might be my last blog post for EVER!!! This is because I am going to High school. Anyway, This is my French animation I hope you like it. Today before we went to technology we started to learn how to speak french! (I would also love to learn Spanish) We started off by learning the basics: Say Hello, Tell them Our Name, Tell them Our Age, Tell them Where we Live, Tell Them what Language we Speak. So we had to make an animation or video. I decided to make an animation! Well, I hope you like it! Do you know how to speak French?

On Wednesday we started making an animation! It was about any place in the world but we had to name 12 or more things with Maori words of the English word. (If you don't understand in sorry) We are doing this Maori animation because it is Maori language week! At our school, we are doing one Maori thing to celebrate Maori language week. On Monday we did a Kahoot to see how many Maori words we knew, on Tuesday I can't remember what we did, on Wednesday we started our animations, on Thursday I can't remember and today on Friday we are finishing our animations! Can you guys find how many Maori words I put in?

Today for my Inquiry task I had to watch a video about fishing sustainability, and make a note of key messages and create my own video/animation that shares these important messages. For the last week or two, we have been learning how to do Bedmas! At first, I struggled a bit, but I think I got the hang of it after a while. But after all that learning we go to make a video, animation anything really. But I had to show you guys how to do Bedmas. If you don't know how to do Bedmas please watch this video? If you already know how to do it too you can watch it too? Anyway, I put a lot of effort into making this so I hope you can appreciate it? I made a script which took about half an hour to make, well something like that. The two actors are my two favourite toys Cheetah and Koda! (They are voiced by me) Also, I kind of messed up a bit so yeah... I started talking normally and forgot that my toys were supported to be talking. 😜 (Just remember my toys are talking not me! Lol...)

Yesterday in lockdown Literacy we had to write about two memories a happy one and a painful one. The painful one was also kinda happy because everything turned out good. Today I finished my Moari animation... It was the holidays SO DON'T BLAME THE LACK OF POSTS! Anyway, we had to watch a Maori story about this dude called Kupe and he is looking for an octopus and the octopus show them Nz then they kill the octopus and live happily ever after. Well, not the octopus at least.

Today at school we got to finish our Matariki kites!!! My Matariki has a Taniwha on it!!! The background has a rainbow too!!! On the 2 July, we celebrated the Māori New Year, a time to consider the year ahead. The days are starting to lengthen and spring will soon be here, we just need to get through this cold winter first!
Matariki and the Pleiades star cluster, have got many stories attached to them. We looked at two; one about how Ranginui and Papatuanuku were separated by Tāne Mahuta, and how Tāwhirimatea was so angry he ripped out his eyes and threw thunderbolts to the sky, creating the cluster, and another story about 7 sisters making kites, and them going to the sky. Ururangi’s kite was different from the rest, it was rainbow coloured. We have mixed these two stories to create the design of our kites.

Today at school before technology we had to make a presentation on the Marshland Mana and what we think it should look like! If you want to know what Mana is it is Marshlands new school values! We are changing our values because no one knew what the old ones were!? The new values are also gonna be the names of the new house colours!
Here is what the new school values are:
Manaakitanga! It means: humility, kindness and honesty!
Ako! It means: both to teach and to learn!
Ngātahi! It means: Together as one!
Aumangea! It means: strong, brave, persistent, determined!

Today before technology we got to do this fun task! We had to use 10 pieces of paper and 1 meter of tape! We had to use the tape to make a table strong enough to hold really heavy books! Our table wasn't finished when we had to test it! But surprisingly our table survived 10 BOOKS!!! and 1 MACBOOK COMPUTER! Anyway, this was a lot of fun! Shout out to our group! Bai!

Today we finished our Matariki pictures!
Matariki is the Māori new year! People celebrate the Māori new year by having a hangi and other traditions. Do you celebrate Matariki, if you do what do you do to celebrate it?
Here is how we did it:
1. We would Draw our draft, we would basically draw what we wanted our final outcome to look like.
2. After we showed the teachers we could move on to drawing our draft on a foam block.
3. We did that we would go showed the teachers and if they said it was okay we would go and paint role over the foam.
4. If we finished that we would print our foam on a piece of paper.
5. After it dried we would make a frame on it and wight our signatures.

I'm back today with another blog post! Today before tech we got to do a test on our senses. We would use a metal thingy to touch us, we also had a blindfold and a little ruler and a pencil to wright over results.
So when the metal thing touched my cheek I only felt 1 point. For my fingertip, I felt 2 points. Anyway, what I found interesting was the pattern of when I was touched on my fingertip.

Today before tech we got to drop an egg off a belconey! Our egg was called tester he was Mexican! Our final product looked like a rocket ship or something like that, I think it looked cool, but it was not successful because we taped the roof of the egg but not at the bottom and that's where it was going to hit the ground first so our egg well letś just say he lived a good life. Next time we could probably not put our egg we're itś gonna get hit first. Bye and here is my google slide I did!

Today before tech we were learning about SCIENCE!!! Our science theme is SPACE!!! I love space so I was very excited about this activity! I have done an activity like this before when I was doing my astronomy badge! We had to use a cup of flowery things it was full to 500ml a bowl and I think that's it! So here's the doc and good day!

Today in literacy we finished our google sites! It has taken quite some time to make but we have finally done it. If you can guess by the title our websites are based on the holocaust. This event was horrific and disgusting.

The holocaust is where Adolf Hitler made the Jewish peoples lives miserable and even he would have them killed by taking them to concentration camps and torcher them.
Who gave Hitler permission to start killing jews?
What happened to the Jewish people when they were taken to a camp?
Where did the Jews live?
When did the holocaust begin and end?
Why did Adolf Hitler choose to kill the Jewish?
How did the Jews hide their Identity?
I found out how the Jews lives were and som much more.
