Kia Ora Billy,
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredibly well thought out grocery list for an ocean voyage. You’ve really thought of everything and I like that you have included things that don’t require refrigeration.
Unfortunately I don’t think dried fruit returns to normal when put in water. I think it just swells up and ends as a wrinkly version of its old self, though it is a bit softer than in its hard form. Perhaps you could experiment and see what happens at home or school. There are some cool foods that do grow in water though. You can buy powdered mashed potato and when you add water to it, it transforms from potato flakes to regular mashed potatoes! You also just need to add water to some jellies and mousses to magically convert them from a powder to dessert.
Do you know any cool science experiments you can do with food like that?
I would really appreciate it if you could add some images or colours of your food choices to your post. This could entice more readers
Happy blogging!
